The Beginning

This is not my first blog, however, this is my first English blog. After writing in Dutch for a few years, I decided it was time for a change. I need new things in my life and this blog is one of them. So, who am I? I'm a 23-year-old girl from The Netherlands who will soon be able to call herself Master of Science in Entertainment and Popular Culture, which pretty much explains my URL. I'm currently working on my Master's thesis about The L Word (for which I conducted a qualitative study) and I'll complete that in about two months. After that, anything could happen.

For now, I'll use this blog to write about the things that I enjoy and that I feel strongly about. Expect to read about television, movies, music and gayness (in the media). And maybe I'll write about myself every once in a while, too. By the way, my nickname 'Pussyfoot' is not a reference to any kind of porn. Just so you know.

edit July 31, 2007: I changed my nickname to ButchyFemme now. Suits me better, I think.
